Network Engineer

Location: Warren, OH

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a motivated and experienced Network Engineer to join the Information Technology team at our Headquarters Service Center in Warren, Ohio. This is a hybrid position that is required to report into the office 3-days a week in Warren, OH.

Position Summary

This is an experienced senior level position within the Systems Administration team. The principal responsibilities of this position are to participate in the ongoing development, implementation and support of critical infrastructure. These systems support both internal and external customers. The incumbent will report to the Director of System Administration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform network and design and capacity planning
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
  • Provides second-level technical support to users concerning network system operations.
  • Diagnoses problems with network equipment and performs equipment repair or upgrades when appropriate.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with Juniper or Cisco firewalls and network switches
  • Experience with network and routing protocols
  • Experience with network security
  • Experience of LANs, WANs, VPNs, SANs
  • Understanding and maintaining network documentation
  • Experience with Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls, and Mist
  • Experience with Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Must work well in a team
  • Must be willing to learn, multi-task, manage shifting priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Bachelors degree (Preferred)
  • Relevant certifications (Preferred)
