AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic and service-oriented Food Service Worker to join our patient services team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, located in University City, Philadelphia, PA. The Food Service Worker is responsible for supporting all patient service functions, including building patient tray orders for each meal period, delivering patient meal trays to the floor, and supporting Patient Ambassadors with ordering and serving meals to patients at the hospital.

Pay begins at $17.04/hour; you will receive $0.50 increase after 6 months of employment and another $0.50 increase after 1 year of employment! • Prepare food for service using established procedures, standards and recipes
• Assemble patient meal order trays
• Deliver patient meal order trays
• Prepare and set up of food at an account and location
• Maintain clean, neat and orderly areas
• Complete daily duties/tasks within the scheduled work shift
• Follow proper guest service procedures whenever interacting with others by smiling, making eye contact and greeting guests
• Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties

Requirements:

• Customer and patient-care oriented
• Previous food service experience a plus
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of patient diets preferred
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be available evenings, weekends and every other holiday
